Bio
Christian André Strand is a Norwegian artist and photographer based in Paris, France and Oslo, Norway. His artistic practice moves in a landscape between politics, popular media and human existence, with inspiration drawn from surveillance, architecture, science, and social events. he strives to find a playfulness between fact and fiction. Moments and places not consciously searched for, however, images that make their presence known.
His first book Great American Eclipse played with the balance of an actual event which was a solar eclipse crossing America and political difficulties in this same period. My second book Traces of Tracking started with the Paris attacks and escalated to a study on surveillance in today’s society.
